Mark Bunting – Technology Spokesman

Mark Bunting is a widely recognized spokesperson for technology. For nearly 20 years he has been exploring the world of technology and sharing the results with others. In particular he excels at explaining the real-life user benefits of technology, what these products really do, and why they’re important. During the last few years Mark has either hosted or produced video for more than 300 companies. Clients include Apple, Sony, Dell, IBM and many others.

Mark Bunting created The Computer Guy in 1991 to help viewers use technology to build a successful business and improve their lives. This series, created in 1991, was the first syndicated television show about computers and technology. This program distills complex jargon down into a user friendly format and offers hope to those who find technology intimidating. This successful series remained in syndication for 7 years and eventually moved to the Learning Channel.

Mark Bunting continued his role as technology spokesman with The Home Computing Edge, a syndicated technology series aimed at consumers and shown through local television news programs. This series focused on both the wider perspective of new developments in technology as well as specific products and solutions. The series has aired in more than 30 news markets across the country.

Sky TV (SkyTV.com) is an in flight television and media business created by Mark Bunting to provide custom production and programming for airlines worldwide. Since its inception, SkyTV has grown to become the largest custom in flight TV network in the world serving6 major US airlines and viewed by 2.5 million airline passengers worldwide.

In 1993 Mark created Buntings Window. Originally it was a weekly series shown on CNBC. It then moved to airline distribution and when SKY TV was created, Buntings Window became an important part of the programming line-up of many US carriers. Now in its 16th season, this award winning series explores the technology products and services available to not only the consumer but also to business.

In 1997 Mark Bunting released his book Virtual Power. In this book Marks explains how the personal computer and the Internet can be combined to enhance your life and provide the increased freedom and success that you want. Mark also addresses the fears commonly raised by such an undertaking and offers his rise to success as an example.

Mark Bunting can be called a technology evangelist. He is well known for promoting the use of technology and for offering hope and encouragement to those intimidated or fearful of venturing too deep in the technology waters. Clear real-life explanations and a enthusiastic persona, combined with his knowledge of video and advertising have led Mark to a variety of business ventures including syndicated television series, cable TV franchises, news vignettes, television commercials and more. Mark lives with his wife and 3 children in Dallas, Texas.
